The unique sugars that dust our donuts have had a mini make-over making them even more flavoursome.
We do use the word ‘unique’ a lot when we describe OMG! Decadent Donuts because, well, they are. And it’s not just because they are inclusive. Not just because they are free from gluten, dairy, egg, wheat, yeast, nuts and sulphites. Not just because they are 100% natural with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Not just because they are certified, accredited and or endorsed by Coeliac Australia, Coeliac New Zealand, Vegan Australia, Kosher Australia and the Halal Authority of Australia. Not just because of the taste and soft fluffy texture of the donuts. We think the MOST unique thing about them is the toppings they are dusted and or drizzled in.
The 12 different flavoured toppings and 6 different special edition flavours are all 100% natural. They are made from a blend of real fruit, vegetables and spices and natural cane sugar, and our customers can choose whichever topping their heart desires. The sugar dustings give the donuts a totally unique flavour punch.
It was these new flavour profiles that got us a recent gold (Spicy Ranga), silver ( Dusty Queen) and bronze (Coffee Coffee Yum Yum) win in the Best Gourmet Donut Category at the Bakers Industry Association of Australia Awards.
For an all-natural product, an extraordinary amount of science goes into our donuts and donut bites, the new drizzles and the all natural sugars, and we have recently found a better way to extract even more flavour from the beautiful fruit, vegetables and spices that are used to dust the donuts.
It’s the same gorgeous menu but a new and improved and, not to be too boastful, incredible flavour profile. Of course, all our sugars are also free from all the free froms and are all also certified by the relevant bodies.
We have also recently introduced 3 fabulous drizzles. Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Mixed Berry with a fourth to be released in September. As with all our products, the drizzles are free from gluten, dairy, egg, wheat, yeast, nuts and sulphites are vegan are 100% natural and are certified by all the relevant bodies.
The drizzles can be enjoyed on a ‘nude’ donut, or when more is more, there’s the option to further enhance the flavour profiles of the sugars and create your own fabulous combinations. Customers are having so much fun with coming up with their own unique blends, like adding Chocolate Drizzle to a Strawberry Patch dusted donut or donut bite; or adding Salted Caramel Drizzle to a Cacao dusted donut or donut bite for a taste reminiscent of a Twix bar.
One customer was having a party and with so many guests having so many various dietary requirements ranging from vegan to gluten free to egg free to Halal to dairy-free to Kosher, she had no idea what to serve – so she bought a pile of cinnamon donut bites, got pots of drizzles and served them out in a basket. So simple, and so inclusive, she told us that absolutely everyone loved them and that it was the easiest catering she’d ever done.
