Frequently Asked Questions

Need some answers?

How can the donuts taste so good when they are both gluten free and vegan?

We have worked closely with qualified food technicians over several years to create this amazing donut mix.  We have recently reformulated our donut mix and moved to clean labelling for transparency.  The donuts have the same amazing flavour.

Are they healthy?

Nope. But they’ll make you feel happy!

Are OMG donuts certified by Coeliac Australia?

Yes, they are and each OMG! business is also accredited by Coeliac Australia.

Can you be sure that nothing contains gluten, egg, nuts, dairy, wheat, and sulphites?

Yes, each batch of donut mix, and sugars are manufactured in a completely contaminate-free factory.  Not only this, but each 1kg batch of Donut Mix is sealed in foil packaging for added protection.

What are the donuts made of?

Maize starch & soy flour are the main ingredients.  Find the full ingredients list and nutritional information here.

Are the ingredients in your donuts different now?

All the ingredients are the same as the previous donut mix and we have added one new ingredient, Potato Starch, which helps improve the consistency of the cooked donuts. The full ingredients list is below.

What are the main ingredients for the sugars?

Whole fruits, vegetables and spices.

Can I become an OMG! Decadent Donuts Business Owner?

Complete the enquiry form located on the Opportunity page here.

Are the donuts and sugars Pareve certified?

Yes, all our sugars and donut mix are certified Pareve by Kosher Australia.

How long do the donuts last once purchased?

There are no preservatives in our donut mix or flavoured sugars, so ideally, they would be best eaten on the day of purchase, or the next day at the latest.  If you’re looking to store them for longer periods, we would suggest freezing them for up to 3-4 weeks max.

From frozen, it’s best to thaw the donut and then either, (1) give them a short 10-15 second zap in the microwave, or ideally (2) reheat in an air fryer for 3 minutes on 180 degrees Celsius, or lastly (3) the oven for 10 minutes on 180 degrees Celsius, but the hot tip is to turn them over halfway at 5min.

What is ‘Clean Labelling’?

Clean labelling refers to the practice of using simple, easily understandable language to describe ingredients on product packaging, rather than obscure codes and numbers. Instead of cryptic terms like “E330” (citric acid) or “E211” (sodium benzoate), clean labelling advocates for clear and concise descriptions like “lemon juice concentrate”This approach aims to empower consumers with knowledge about what we are consuming. Read our blog all about Clean Labelling here.

Do the donuts taste different now?

The donuts taste slightly less sweet in their ‘nude’ form (before being dusted in sugar), due to the reduction in sugar in the donut mix.  They still have the same fluffy texture and divine crunch you’ve come to love.

The other good thing about the change to the donut ingredients is the donuts dusted with our fruit, vege & spiced sugars now taste even better.

Has the nutritional information changed?

Yes, due to the reduction in sugar and reformulation of the mix, the nutritional information has changed
