At OMG! Decadent Donuts we chose to use the spelling ‘donut’  not ’doughnut’.  Why – because there is no ‘u g h’ in our donuts.  Boom Boom – that’s a bit of a bad dad joke, but it’s true.   

It’s true because the donuts, and the sugars and drizzles that enhance them, are 100% natural with nothing artificial.  For an all-natural product, a hell of a lot of science and food technology has gone into them.  But we’ve always wanted to make our treat of hot fresh donuts in a way that, whilst not a health food, was at least ‘less bad’ as a treat.   

OMG! Decadent Donuts are free from gluten, dairy, egg, wheat, yeast, nuts and sulphites and have no artificial colours, flavours, preservatives and of course no GMO’s.    

In an age where food is often loaded with artificial ingredients and genetically modified organisms (GMOs), there is a growing movement toward consuming all-natural food. These foods, free from artificial flavours, colours, preservatives, and GMOs, offer a myriad of benefits for consumers. People so often ask us how our donuts taste so amazing.  We think it’s because foods in their natural state typically have richer, more complex flavours compared to those with artificial enhancements. The taste of a ripe, organic tomato, for example, far surpasses that of a conventional one that has been engineered for long shelf life rather than flavour.  Mmmmm could we do a tomato donut?  Nope, that’s silly, our beetroot donut is crazy enough.   

Additionally, natural foods are less likely to contain hidden additives that can affect taste and texture. By eating foods that are closer to their natural form, consumers can enjoy the authentic flavours of their meals and a more satisfying eating experience. 

The sugars that dust our donuts are made from real fruit, vegetables and spices, freeze-dried then ground and blended with natural sugar.

Supporting these practices not only promotes better welfare of the earth but also encourages a more ethical and transparent food industry. Donuts thankfully ticks these boxes.
