Recently OMG! Decadent Donuts entered a national Cinnamon Donut competition with 2756* entries from donut makers across the land.  The results proved that those with the misinformed belief that a vegan and gluten-free donut can’t taste as great as a ‘regular’ donut are well… wrong!

*Might be a slight (major) exaggeration with the 2756 entries – but it was a LOT!!

The competition was held during the massive Baking Association of Australia trade show and conference in Sydney with bakers from all over Australia entering to win everything from Best Pies to Best Breads, Best Croissants and of course Best Donuts.

The highly respected judges did blind tests of all entries which means that they had no idea of the ingredient list or anything about the donuts at all.  The judging was all based on taste and texture such as how light and fluffy they were, they had no idea that our OMG! Decadent Donuts were vegan or free from gluten, dairy, egg, yeast, wheat, nuts and sulphites.

So now our claims that OMG! Decadent Donuts truly are the most decadently delicious around are confirmed and we are stoked to have received the Silver medal.

We’ve proven that a donut can be inclusive and enjoyed by everyone – those that have a dietary requirement and those that don’t.  They have a brilliant taste and texture and are free from most allergens and without any nasty artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

We’re pretty proud of our little business and all the accolades we’ve received so far.
