We are Mark and Bek Popplewell. We live with our family on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and have called it home for the past 10 years. We are so excited to be bringing a really good product to our local community.
We both work locally as youth workers and have done so for many years. In a former life Mark was a chef both overseas and locally, so you will find him behind the fryer making the best tasting donuts you have tried and Bek will welcome your orders with their two young teens. Part of picking up this business was about providing job experience for their growing kids, aiming to support them to become job ready and teaching them about business and good work ethics.
Bek was diagnosed Coeliac 25 years ago and she understands the limitations that come with this diagnosis, being offered a limited menu selection, not having the option of sweet treats or when you do, them tasting dry, heavy, like cardboard and bland. These donuts are the best tasting donuts you will get for people with allergies – and they taste just as good for those that don’t have allergies. That’s the feedback we have had so far. They are a truly light, fluffy and devilishly moorish donut that has everyone coming back for more.
We are excited to support you and your family to enjoy an allergy free treat that is also great for our vegan community. Our donuts have been accredited by vegan Australia and Coeliac Australia, setting a bench mark for continued quality and excellence.
