Meet Ray & Sharyn (Shaz) the local owners of OMG Decadent Donuts FNQ.

Q. How did you get involved with OMG Decadent Donuts?

A. Ray is a member of Rotary and was one of the organisers for Palm Cove Markets. OMG was a permanent stallholder at those markets and after watching how well it was operated, when the business came up for sale we thought it too good an opportunity to miss.

Q. You are an award winning business now – how has that been for you?

A. It was such a surprise and a huge thrill. The 2022 JCU Business Excellence Award for Service – Trade and Retail sits proudly with the 2022 Australian Small Business “Champion” Award won by OMG Decadent Pty Ltd (OMG head office in Brisbane).

Q. Is making donuts rewarding?

A. One of the most enjoyable parts of the OMG business is the reaction we get from our customers. Every market we have people ask “which one is gluten free” and then their jaw drops when we say “all of them”. Some people have not had a donut in decades and are gobsmacked when they discover us. Being able to provide a treat that caters for those affected by Coeliac disease or food sensitivity is just the best.

Q. If you were to describe OMG Decadent Donuts in 10 words, what would those words be?

A. Amazing-Inclusive-Great-Tasting-With-No-Calories-In-The-Middle.
